The tea brews up a deep copper, with a thin layer of sheen on the surface. Smells woodsy and earthy, of forests. The finish had a hint of raisin (?). 生津 was gradual and gentle. This puer tastes a little younger than some of my older gushu shou puers but it is clean and soft on the palate. I’m quite sensitive to caffeine; this puer gives no jitters, just a calm alertness to start my day.
