The content of caffeine found per cup varies depending on how much tea is used and how long it is left to brew. How is Jasmine Green Tea made?It is made by letting the jasmine blossom infuse the green tea leaves.The journey of this particular blend begins with an early spring harvest, preserving the young green tea leaves refreshing flavor. They have to be stored until late summer, which is when the jasmine flowers we use bloom at altitudes of around 1000 meters.To scent the tea with the jasmine’s fragrant aroma, they are stored together. The process needs to take place at night, as this is when the flowers open and release their fragrance. This process is repeated several times, until the desired level of infusion is achieved.Combined, it creates a subtly sweet and highly fragrant brew that is the most famous scented tea in China and is best enjoyed on its own, without sugar or milk.At Organic Merchant we amplify it’s delightful, light taste by adding certified organic pink rose petals to the blend, brewing a soft, mild tasting cup. Brewing InstructionsUse 1-2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per cup (250ml). We recommend using an infuser or a glass teapot with infuser for the best experience.Do not using boiling water (100°C), but instead wait a moment after the water boiled before pouring it over the leaves. 80°C to 85°C are ideal.Infuse for 2-4 minutes, depending on your desired strength. If you let it steep shorter, you may use it for a second flush.Best enjoyed straight up, without sugar or milk, for maximum appreciation of its fragrance.After finishing your brew, we encourage you to return your steeped herbs back to the earth, for example in your home compost, worm farm or garden waste, allowing it to breakdown into organic matter and return to nourish our environment.
