This Snowshoe also includes the new EZ harness installed at no extra charge. The Iverson Cross Country 10 x 40 Snowshoe has a 220 lb. Capacity. Hand crafted in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Warranted for 5 years. Made with only select northern white ash frames. Iversons Snowshoe & Furniture is proud to announce the new tubular nylon. The nylon styles are extra light weight. Iversons Snowshoes are made in America by Americans in the small town of Shingleton located in the Central Upper Peninsula of Michigan’s snow country. Iversons still makes the traditional wooden snowshoes the same as they have for over 40 years (a process which was derived from the Native Americans.) This intensive process starts with a white ash log, which is cut down to what are called sticks, these sticks are then placed in a steamer to give the wood more flexibility. The snowshoe is then bent around a form and then placed in a dry kiln overnight. Once this process is done the tedious task of lacing the shoes starts. You can get Iversons snowshoes with the traditional rawhide or the more durable neoprene. The one unique factor that sets Iversons snowshoes apart from other snowshoe makers, is our shoes are dipped in a snowshoe lacquer that prevents snow from sticking to the shoes.
