Siver, 0.680, 0.1093 oz. ASW, 5.g, 23mm. Catalogue: KM# 73. Grade: gFine- VF, reverse stains. The League of Nations gave France a mandate to the Levant states of Syria and Lebanon in 1920. In 1930, following a series of uprisings, France recognised Syria as an independent republic, but still subject to the mandate. Lebanon became fully independent on November 22nd, 1943 and Syria on January 1st, 1944.
